How to Use SeeTheDollars

When you use SeeTheDollars, you go though three steps sequentially. It’s a natural progression. Every step needs the previous ones. Click on the buttons ONE, TWO or THREE to see what you do in each step as I talk about them.

The first step is when you look to find the dollar paths, one or more depending on the complexity of the issue, and you assign money pumps to each. You don’t need SeeTheDollars for that. All you need is a pen and several pieces of paper, where you draw the different scenarios. Button ONE shows that.

I picked the very simple example of paying cash for your groceries, because the dollar path and the money pump are quite obvious. The dollar path is money going from your pocket to the cashier and the money pump is you, who is giving the money to the cashier. But I found that it's not that easy in most other situations, but looking for dollar paths is definitely worth the trouble.

The second step is when you use the application to transfer the drawing on a webpage. Click on the button TWO to see that. In this step you just have a generic diagram, but this may be all that you need at this point to complete your thoughts with links and annotations. And once you have done that, you can share the diagram with others and get their comments and opinions.

Finally, this is where the fun starts. If you thought that the diagram you just made is boring, you can jazz it up, and the button THREE is an example of that. A very elementary one because I am not a graphic designer.

Besides the fancy graphics, SeeTheDollars has speed. The visuals encapsulate the information and transmit it practically instantly. In the age of the sound bite that we are now, SeeTheDollars fits amazingly well.
